The Highland Mountain Resort & Spa

Stay was fine. Rooms are small but the staff has very nice service. No amenities in the hotel. The main market is a 20 minute walk. Food was decent. Good for kargil and the price we paid but nothing fancy. Good hot water with good pressure.

The property and location was nice and the rooms were also clean. But the staff was not welcoming and hospitable. Also, the breakfast options were limited and food was not up to the mark.

Very clean room and washroom, heated beds, excellent veg and non-veg food and very courteous staff. Excellent location.

The infrastructure of the places was good. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean. Food was good. Junior staff was polite. But the front desk manager was a big disappointment. My family felt unsafe around him.

This place was a pleasant stay, the service and the hotel staff were very helpful. Highly recommended if you’re traveling through kargil. They are very attentive and took care of our needs right away, we also got a free upgrade for 2 suite rooms and the rooms as well as the hallway were highy thought-for. Would visit again.

Did not stay there zojila pass was closed, so was unable to get to kargil requested the hotel for cancellation & refund & they refused staff on phone were rude & refused to believe me pls blacklist this hotel immediately they are bad for customers & for mmt

The room including the bathroom was clean. But the corridors had carpets which hadn't seen vacuum cleaner for a long time. They were dusty and had a strange odor. The staff also refused to serve dinner in the room even though only 2 rooms were occupied when i went there

We had a hospitable, a very comfortable stay. The staff were helpful and prompt in their services. The restaurant is good as well. We were happy that the chef readily prepared some local food items that we asked for. Most of all, we found the owner Mr nasir munshi a very reverential person who helped us plan our local visits. We found him to be a very articulate and knowledgeable person and it was a delight to chat with him about the history and current affairs of the district of kargil. I am happy to recommend this place with enthusiasm.

We stayed for a night for our onward journey to Srinagar. The hotel was perfect with the staff very cordial and excellent food. Truly value for money. The room was spacious and the hotel was easy to find.

It is a budget hotel with basic facility, but as you need a place to spend the night before you start your journey for Leh the next morning - It's an OK place to stay. Attitude of staff was indifferent. Food was very average, hardly to choose from. They certainly need to improve their menu.

We had a good stay at this hotel after a tiring drive from Srinagar. We had some miscommunication and only 2 rooms out of 4 were confirmed. The GM Mr. Naseer ensured that we got all the rooms at this same hotel. The service was excellent. Rooms were clean. Had a memorable stay at this place.

The highland hotel has clean, comfortable and safe rooms. The owner Mr. Nisar Munshi is extremely courteous and helped if in every possible way (provided us with hair dryer etc. As we arrived at the hotel drenched in rain). He personally takes care that his guests feel at home. We were quite impressed and stayed at the same hotel on our way back from Leh
