Snow Retreat

Ambiance not like a hotel, no reception, two three staff is there and take care cooking to service everything. In same price I saw better hotel available in Lachen nearby location. TV is available but not working, in toilet no mirror available, may earlier is available but I have not found any mirror. Inside bathroom is very sticky and smell. Ultimately it is not a good hotel, even in home stay you will get better facility.

Value for money. Lachen is a small village. So you can not expect much.

Stayed for a night on the way to Gurudongmar. This isn't a proper hotel, felt more like a Dharamshala. For the money they charged I expected much more. The boys at the hotel are very good and try their best but the owner should wake up. I paid more for a night which for the experience was highly overpriced. This hotel shouldn't be charging more. Look out for other hotels if you are visiting.

Tv was working, dustbin not placed at room, room light was insufficient, water glass not placed, nun of the amenities was placed. Hot water not available in the morning. Food was very good.

Finding location was difficult due to lack of signboards. Room was overall ok but Wi-Fi and room heater would have helped. The person receiving the call on hotel no was not actually located in the hotel and could not help locate the hotel.
No Wi-Fi, no room heater available and travel desk gave the worst possible car and the food was available only for the limited time.

Below par hotel. The amount charged is not worth the value for money. Staff was helpful but there was insufficient maintenance staff. Food was average but overall cleanliness was poor.
Rooms were not maintained. The wood on the wall was peeling off. The electric socket was out.

Nice hotel, considering high altitude and remote area. Good rooms, adequate hot water provided, manager is a nice guy. But very poor food quality, rice and potatoes were not properly boiled. Staff cooperative

Room was small, facilities okay for a short stay. Food was ordinary, staff was well behaved. Since the place is small there are limited hotel options. Quite expensive for the standard of the hotel. Sikkim generally expensive for all services.

Location wise this was great and amazing. You can enjoy the first view of the mountains with snow. Hospitality was OK. Rooms could be made more comfortable and basis the cold weather, the facilities was not meeting expectations.

We should have stopped staying at the retreat chain of hotels after our experience at Lachen. But can't complain in peak season. The rooms, bathrooms, facilities, all need improvement. Some of the dinner items were stale and one of us even fell sick cos of this.

Room was good in term of location, staff was good and polite, food is good as well. Because lachen is not too big so everything is close by. Though I found cleanliness an issue in my hotel room. But overall I am satisfied.

Room was clean and tidy. The service provided was of top notch. Every single person was always there to help. We had problems in the morning for not getting hot water but cannot blame them as electricity was absent at the whole location and had to satisfy with mattress for forth person

Hotel was at a good location. Had a beautiful view around. Staff of the hotel was very friendly and cooperative. Served us good. Food was good even being in such a remote location and bad circumstances.

The hotel is poor in terms of service, food, room amenities and cleanliness. Although the staff is friendly by nature, but the professionalism is absent when it comes to managing guests. We were not at all satisfied with the standard of this hotel. No reception where you can reach out to if you need anything.

Worst hotel. Food served was noodles and Manchurian. Which was unhealthy and all four of us fell sick but all hotels in this region are alike. We paid more than 3000 per room it was pathetic.

People shouldn't go by photograph, The ambience of the Hotel is very poor. People those who cannot take staircase, shouldn't go to this hotel. Parking facility is not available. There is no hand shower at toilet, though it is western type. Food quality is also poor. Only the basic minimum requirement is available. This is not a better value for money.
