SDK Residency

Stayed for 1 night in deluxe ac room and my experience was good. Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of both the Vindhyagiri and the Chandragiri hillls. The parking space is huge and thats always important. Ive seen people writing very negative reviews and I respect their opinion but speaking for myself since I travel a lot I temper my expectations as per the place. Well Sravanabelagola is not really a touristy place like Kodaikanal or Mysore and its only a small town. This SDK Residency is the only decent place to stay which is clean, newly constructed , the ac works well, continuous hot water is available. For me its enough, I never go for room service etc and for me it doesnt matter. Finding a staff in the SDK Residency is difficult if you need suddenly but for me the person who was there was available when needed him mostly. Their rooms have good basic infrastructure like Jaguar fittings in toilet but somehow the finishing during construction could have been better, didnt matter to me. For me it was more than decent stay. Would come back here if I return to SB.

This property is located appx 500m from main temple. Rooms are clean and have AC and hot water facility. Hotel staff is very cooperative & arranges pick up and drop from railway station. Only one point that SDK Residency should consider is non availability of tea coffee facility (kettle with tea coffee sachet). Although there is a tea coffee shop adjacent to SDK Residency. And the SDK Residency doesn’t provide food services.

Hotel is located very near to the temple. Our stay was nice. Rooms were clean and tidy. Water was available, only issue was the caretaker who was trying to find ways to get tips from the outside vendor tea and food. He was always seeking ways to get tips, nothing bad in it but he was just overdoing it a lot. Else ac worked fine and no complaints, will stay again if plan to travel.

property is 10km from channarayapatna town. 1km from sravanabelagola. place is peaceful and neat. lot of parking space available. no in house provision for food. there is a tea shop just beside the SDK Residency and a new snack bar which serves burger/pizza/sandwich/juices and shakes. SDK Residency Raghu which is 700m(near entry of jain temple) away is a good option for food.

I wanted to book a place from where we could go to Shravanabelegola , Halebid and Belur. I booked this place seeing a review that it was the only decent place to stay around Shravanabelegola. I agree with that review totally. It is a small town and can't expect very high standards but this place had quite decent sized rooms and overall clean with a good space for parking.

We stayed in this SDK Residency for 1 night, booking 3 ac rooms as part of family tour. This is a budget SDK Residency, relatively new construction. At entrance, SDK Residency looks small, but rooms are big, clean and neat. No restaurant or food service. Service is average. Location is good.

Neat rooms and bathroom. Overall hygiene was good. Good ventilation in the rooms.

Good and hygiene SDK Residency staff were very polite for the price we paid it was worth it had a comfortable stay

Location of the SDK Residency is a prime attraction.

Given the lack of good accommodation in the town this is a good option. No frills but my room had a balcony, aircon, tv and was clean and adequate. The wifi was stable and fast. I missed not having a fridge or coffee/tea facility in the room however. Also there was no hot water in the morning. Otherwise fine.

The SDK Residency rooms were neat and clean with comfortable amenities. Although this SDK Residency does not cater for food, i would still recommend this SDK Residency for its cleanliness, service and location. Good choice to stay with family.

As few choices in the town it’s great this place is there, new and good rooms, AC and hot water. Good WiFi. Great location. Really good value and worth it to be able to climb the hill in the evening or morning to avoid the heat!

I and my wife stayed at sdk residency at shravanbelgola. We had a very pleasant stay there. We could do darshan quite conveniently. Hot water availability in the SDK Residency is a good feature plus its location on the main road. Another good feature is the availability of lot of parking space for cars.
