An Average Stay – Suitable Only as a Last Resort

family with 1 kidI recently stayed at Wild Wood Resort, and overall, it was an average experience. While it provided the bare minimum for a short stay, there were several notable drawbacks that made it less than ideal. • Amenities: The hotel offers only the basic amenities. There is no WiFi, which can be inconvenient for those needing connectivity. If you’re a Vodafone user, be prepared for zero network coverage, leaving you completely disconnected. • Food: One of the few highlights was the food, which was genuinely good and well-prepared. It’s the one area where the resort performed better than expected. • Staff: The staff was decent but lacked warmth and genuine hospitality. They were not very welcoming or attentive, which left a lot to be desired in terms of guest experience. • Accessibility: Reaching the hotel at night is a challenge. The path leading to the property is completely dark with no streetlights, which feels unsafe and inconvenient. Overall, it’s a very average place to stay. It’s not outright terrible, but it’s certainly not somewhere I’d recommend unless you have no better options available. With a few improvements, it could be more appealing, but as it stands, it’s best chosen as a last resort.

A home away from home.

familyA beautiful property in the serene surroundings of the majestic gir forest. The location is perfect for a jungle holiday. But what adds to the stay in the property is the staff. They are people with wisdom and flare to serve others. Golden hearts are rare but you can find the finest ones here. We never felt away from home. Shilpa bhens smiling face even after a tough life whose daughter is battling with blood cancer gives us courage to smile at life after all the odds. Dines the errand boy who never missed to play a perfect host. And of-course the manager raj bhai with whom we had long chats about the stories of gir. A perfect hideaway and a home away from home. We would like to visit here again and again.
