Staff, safari, boat ride, food and views are excellent. Cottages are sufficiently spacious. The following can be improved 1. Room cleanliness and linen cleanliness 2. The steps from golghar to cottages are uneven and risky and need to made safer.

Our family had a memorable stay at River Tern Lodge, Tarikere. The location is simply breathtaking — surrounded by the beautiful Bhadra backwaters and lush forest. The cottages were clean, comfortable, and offered an excellent view of the lake. The staff were warm, courteous, and very helpful throughout our stay. The buffet meals were tasty with a good variety. We also enjoyed the boat safari and spotting wildlife around the area — truly a great experience for nature lovers. Overall, it’s a perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful and scenic escape! 🌿

Wonderful experience, lovely and helpful staff and excellent view from the room. The day is filled with activities and the guide staff is super supportive and professional.

Safari ride was good and we could see lot of birds and few animals. Food is really good. Rooms are standard but view is mesmerizing. It feels like heaven in monsoons

Rooms are set in a wonderful location to watch the sunset and the birds on the splendid lake. The food is excellent and varied. All activities are on time and wonderfully led by passionate guides and drivers. We were lucky to see a leopard, a bear, a herd of bathing elephants most of all the staff is very well trained and motivated. A huge pleasure to be there.

The stay was excellent, main highlight being the location and safari. Food was delicious and staff were very courteous. They can improve the cleanliness of the bed linens.

Location - scenic, secluded on an island within badra dam food - good food. No negative impact. Good spread of options service - very good service amenities - not a 5 star property but basic amenities are available and sufficient for a day's stay safari - both jeep and boat safari were good

It was a amazing experience. Superb loghuts on edge of a reservoir so close to jungle. Food was delicious and staff as very kind.

It was an amazing stay. The only hiccup i faced was with the house lizard droppings on the bed. However it was negligible given that we were in the middle of the forest

Location is easy to find but the rooms are too far away from the reception and dining hall. Please make sure if you are travel-ling with senior citizens do ask for the rooms near dining area. And there are no animals spotings in the safari in monsoon and it’s completely waste. The rooms are also were small and not clean. It’s highly over priced for this place. And they have a strict timings for breakfast lunch and dinner. You can visit this place only for the view from your room.

The location is excellent with breathtaking views from the room given to us. The room is ok with all required amenities. Food was good and not too spicy. The staff was courteous and helpful with a smiling service.
