The location, service and food is just excellent. This stay place is in front of a river surrounded by mountains and during snow it is completely covered by snow. It is just awesome. This was one of the best experiences ever! All The staff is very nice and helpful.

I’ve informed them about the bathroom issue as the water has to wipe in to drainage through wiper, they provided.

We were at this place during peak winters in january. There are 2 cottage buildings hosting 5 rooms each. This review is in regard to the one that is on your right when entering from the entry gate. Pros: the location of the hotel is good. A river flows right outside of the hotel. Only 4 rooms in hotel get good views. However when you step outside there is a stunning scenery around you. Hotel is well equipped with heating system. You will not feel cold in the room even when it’s -5 degrees outside. Cons: it’s a cottage with very low roof and seems to be an old house converted to a 5 room cottage. We stayed on 1st floor. There is constant sound of pigeons on the roof that annoy day and night. The dining area does not have any heating system. The food is served cold as the cottage and kitchen is not at same place. Food is very oily and costly for eg. Two small slices of white bread are served for 100-. Cleanliness is not up to the mark. Rooms are not cleaned even after explicitly asking. Water gets clogged in bathroom. No ventilation in bathroom which means if you take a dump and come out you will be suffocated to poop smell in the entire room. The hotel is very costly given the standards of service provided.

The experience with rah-at cottage was fabulous. The location was scenic - river lidder flowing just outside the property. The food was really tasty and i appreciate the cook and the staff taking care of guest on the taps. Highly recommend to go for this property in pahalgam.

The stay was very average. The staff was good but there were frequent power cuts and no one was available at the reception.

The hotel stay was okay but left room for improvement. The amenities were basic, and there were frequent power issues, which was inconvenient. The room and bathroom felt quite cramped, and the food quality was average at best. Not a bad option, but there’s definitely potential for a better experience.

The rooms are very very small. The bed made sounds. Electricity cuts are a major issue.

small cottage (10 rooms only) by the banks of the river tributary, away from bustle of the market place. it has a nice lawn where kids can play and one can have a nice breakfast in the open lawn with the sunshine on your back. food was great, the manager/owner Saif was very helpful and so were the caretakers Tariq, Umer and others. hind side- Rooms are a bit shabby,and 3kms away from the city center, thus one has to arrange for a cab/auto to go the market separately.

Location is awesome. Rooms are clean and the hospitality is too good. Food is also good. Away from the city but not so far, calm and silent place with a river in the front. Recommended property.

I was extremely happy with my stay at rah-at cottage; the receptionist saif and the staff including zubair, sahil were most friendly, efficient, professional and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, saif even loaned me his sim card for two days because of my connectivity issues, zubair was very good at housekeeping, sahil in the kitchen made sure i got excellent vegetarian breakfast and dinner dishes as per my liking, the location of the hotel is very awesome next to the river and i had vert pleasant morning walks there

The location is so good, away from the noisy market place and nestled on the hillside, with the lidder river flowing right in front of the property, its a perfect location for the jaded city based solo traveller like me. The rooms were nice if a little on the smaller side, however, the washroom was clean and spacious. The food is finger licker good, literally. And the guys there are attentive and very friendly. All in all, do try rah-at cottage if you are looking for a place to unwind and which doesn’t hurt the pocket either.
