OTDC Panthanivas Barkul

Like any govt facility hotels, location is outstanding.. Boating booking counter is just adjacent.. Lake view from the balcony.. And in spite of govt funded hotel the service is commendable.. Washroom is neat & clean.. Restaurant food is of high quality.. I strongly recommend staying over there if anyone want to spend a night in Chilika..

Property's food was average Location is fantastic Facilities are good

It’s just located at perfect place no worries to locate it. The Panthaniwas is well maintained though it was built in 1980’s still it stand perfect. Food was awesome both veg n non veg. Finally the staff, they are so friendly so co-operating.

Location of the property is just beside the Chilika lake ,but little bit distant from the railway station which made us inconvenient to reach at the night time..Rooms were very old with improperly working geyser and stained commode and with hard mattress which made our stay hectic with a toddler..Blankets were not hygienic and the balcony was terrible with old slabs and with pigeon's shit all around.No complementary breakfast was provided on the second day until we asked for many times as it got very late to catch our train , that too at 9.30 AM.It can be well maintained still and not at all suitable for the price they quoted.. Disappointed 😔

It was very cozy stay in Barkul OTDC Panthanivas. Location was very good as well as the quality of food. Service was also very good. But one thing that was unexpected from OTDC, in our delux room, no geyser was present. Actually it was disconnected. This made me unhappy.

During two days stay at the resort we had a wonderful experience, which we expected from our 42nd anniversary The entire thing was great, from reception desk , restaurant service to room service ; were all excellent ; very cooperative staff , always eager to tell the things, one puts as a query

Room was clean and spacious with a nice view of the lake. But the food can be less spicy and oily.

Very nice facility. Friendly and helpful staff. Canteen facility is pretty good, air conditioned. Breakfast is OK, but puri bhaji is too much diluted. Room is nice and good linen. Wash room also is spacious, but the finishing is poor. Washbasin, mirror etc in general are poorly finished, including plumbing. Overall, satisfactory stay. OTDC boating facility, Chilka boat ride ticket counter are all very close by. Good Lake view from room. Balcony is not well maintained. AC condensate drains were not routed to outside balcony. Local draining left a puddle of water. Too many bird droppings in balcony that were not cleaned. Nothing much to brag about.

Good comfortable stay, very humble and helpful staff with a good view of Chilika from the balcony. The food menu was limited but taste quality and quantity was good. It was served to the room. And its very close to the boating point.

Dulex room are not well furnished Ceeling of room and bathroom broken Windows lock broken

TV was not working... The room stinks as it has been closed for many years... The balcony was very dirty and never cleaned. It seems no one to look after government property

Food was good , but with lot of delay. Location is nice. Facilities were good.

The service is very bad.Property is not clean,they are not maintaining the property.As per the price property is not good.The food service is very bad.They didn't even know how to make dal.I have ordered onion pakoda and it was too bad and oily.They made the whole onion one pakoda.when I have asked they are saying you would have asked us for sliced onion pakoda.I am from odisha and visited every corner of odisha never asked for customize onion pakoda.But here they are saying you would have asked to make this way.Also I want to highlight one thing the canteen service people are only focusing on their food and VIPs food.when we are ordering food instead of preparing food they are eating only everytime same thing.As this is the govt taken property they are focusing on government employees family members mainly.I won't recommend anyone to stay.Its better to stay in private property

Awesome hospitality. Nice Behaviour of all Staffs. Nearest Destination for Visiting Maa Kalijai Temple.

Very good environment. Good view.supported staff. Food price is very high.one suggestion to make it average as every one can afford happily.

Excellent service, proper amenities, however, the air con was not working properly. It was not cooling.
