Receptionist behaviour is bad I booked room 12 days after 10 days I want to extend another 2 days so I informed to him 2 days before. Our company not raising request up to date 12 because of some approvals. End of the morning I approached him, he spoke with me irresponsible, and vacate the room immediately, because of room is booked for another person. No room is available pack your personal belongings and kept in reception. Any way I have to pay from my pocket. If they’re said before I can arrange another hotel. Morning so many persons waiting for me, how to react, I don’t know. I vacate the room immediately and kept in car.

Hotel was good with neat and clear rooms and the surroundings. Good options for food were there. The staff were very courteous. The checking and check out process was very quick and smooth, less than 5 mins in my case.

Hotel Shakti Continental, Angul, claims to be a 4-star business class hotel—but that’s nothing more than a hollow marketing gimmick. There’s absolutely no semblance of professionalism or business-class standards here. If you’re booking online and intend to dine at their restaurant, be warned: they refuse to include your food bill in your final hotel invoice. Even if you voluntarily offer to block an amount on your credit card or leave a cash deposit, they brush it aside and insist that the charges can be settled during checkout. But the moment your food bill exceeds a certain amount, they pester you to clear it immediately. Post-payment, they outright refuse to reflect the food bill under your main invoice or provide any consolidated billing, which is highly unprofessional and questionable in terms of accounting transparency. The so-called “business lounge” they flaunt in their promotions is non-existent. It’s a complete farce. The property lacks even the most basic standards one expects from a genuine business-class hotel—whether in service, attitude, or facility. The worst part? I had informed the hotel clearly that I would be checking out by 12:00 noon and had submitted my laundry accordingly. I was assured it would be delivered by 10:00 am. Shockingly, it was handed over at 11:00 pm—a full 13 hours late, well after all follow-ups. This kind of irresponsibility is unacceptable for even a budget hotel, let alone one that claims to cater to business travelers. Overall, the experience reeks of mismanagement and a complete disregard for customer convenience or corporate hospitality standards. Definitely not recommended for business travelers or anyone expecting even a modicum of hotel professionalism.

Very good experience with the stay. Nice hotel, clean environment , pleasant property. Rooms are large.

It was an excellent stay at Shakti continental. Food is awesome. all the services including housekeeping is great

unnecessarily expwnsive. they bill 70 rupees for one bottle of packaged water and add gsr to it. is it allowed?

The staff is very raw at reception and in general. The repose time to any service is very high . Overall it is average hotel .

Location is good, but a property that is overrated for its quality and pricing. Food quality, presentation, and taste is below average in comparison to the pricing. Rooms are good in size, but with below average amenities. The property needs to give special attention to their Service. The people in the reception are not welcoming atall. This will be the first turndown for any guest arriving.

I checked in at the hotel around 7:45 pm on 17th June 2024 and asked at the reception to send my suitcase to my room and I went to have my dinner . After my dinner when I went in the room I saw the suitcase chain was open and my Rs.20000 was missing from the suitcase . When I informed at the reception they were not willing to listen anything and said it hasn’t happened and I was standing at the reception and they were just not responding only. I was standing at the reception for more than 15 mins but they was no response anybody there…
