Frequent power cut. There was no generator as substitute. Went inside bathroom using mobile torch. The compain regarding the same was not attended. The Hotel boys were not responding well. After booking confirmation, reached at hotel but found there was no room available for my booking. After having some tactfully conversation had a room having no amenities as i booked for. Next day i got a room but that was wastage of my requirement as i am not getting the facility as per my requirement and booking.

Reception and check-in was pretty ok room ok but bathroom really small (maybe the smallest i've seen) room walls really thin. Lots of noise coming through from other rooms even past midnight. Food ok no early coffee before 8am or breakfast before 8. 30am, so we just had a coffee at 8 and skipped breakfast to get on our way.

Among the hits, hotel’s location is good and also the food at “darbar”. I stayed in a royal deluxe room on the second floor. The room is of good size. The hotel staff were very attentive. This is the best hotel to stay in the sleepy town of phulbani. Beautiful lush garden at the front is a good place to stroll. Among the misses, the lift (elevator ) didn’t work which caused great deal of inconvenience. The bed mattress was very old and soft. Hope the owner/management will replace all their mattresses with firm ones. It really caused a serious back-ache for me. Overall it was average but not too low-priced for a place like phulbani.
