The location is good but not remote—just 200–300 meters from the village, with a lot of noise. The food is good. The room has basic facilities, which are not worth the price they are charging. The evening cultural events are good.

Food was good.. service staff was very kind and helpful. cottages needs little bit of cleaning i could see the spider web in the room and surrounding... little expensive stay considering the facilities provided...

Amazing stay at BR hills. Pros- Great location. very eco friendly. Good food. Calm and decent hosts at the reception and other service areas. Good guest hosting in the premise. Improvements- Approach road can definitely be better, it's very rocky and can harm cars as that's the only means to reach the resort. Amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush need to be provided, specially considering that the resort is in the costlier range as compared to other stays in BR hills area. They can maybe partner for safaris which will help enthusiast guests. Furniture in the cottage room looked and felt old and torn at places which needs a bit of a maintenance. It's a great eco-friendly stay and the owners put it out front that there'll be insects and other things in the room, which is fine. But they should also make sure to let the guests know what to do when encountered with certain insects like scorpion, jharis, etc which could be poisonous and risky, considering the reception is not open after 6pm. overall, a definitely recommended place to stay.

Property was not accessible .. slopes with no railings. Unevenly placed stones. Food was good. Cultural program was good.

Room, food, location or awesome. But while taking vehicle towards parking road is very bad. Need to make good road towards parking from main road

Overall it was an excellent and rejuvenating experience, very peaceful after a long time. Food was organic and good overall. Cultural programme, nature walk was a very good experience.

I had a very disappointing stay here. The customer service was unhelpful and unfriendly, making us feel unwelcome throughout our visit. Additionally, the resort lacked basic amenities expected for holiday, there was not a single place we can sit and relax outside the room. If you want to sit you have to go to room. Also it look like jail with lots of rules and regulations which significantly impacted our experience. Overall, i would not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable getaway. ”

Located in the forest vicinity, a great place to relax with family. Food was pretty good. Absolutely no room service, and timing needs to be maintained.

Verdant forests, placid lake, symphony of forest sounds, lovely tree house, and delicious food. All make for a wonderful stay at gorukana.

Good location, great food, very good service. A common sitting place is missing for bonfire. Good to know that it's a social enterprise.

Rooms - clean, spacious. As the property is in coffee estate surrounded by jungle, one should expect insects, lizards in the room. Food - average. Our food was served cold, sweet was not less than average, rice was very chewy, pulao not great. Service - good location - good in summary, not worth the high cost

We recently stayed at a charming cottage nestled in nature, and it was truly a memorable experience. The cottage itself was spacious, well-maintained, and provided all the comforts we needed. The location was perfect—serene, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights of our stay was the Ayurvedic massage, which was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The attention to detail and the calming ambiance made it a delightful experience. Our kids had a fantastic time as well, especially with the surprise kids' beds in the attic—they absolutely loved it! The food provided during our stay was another pleasant surprise. It wasn't the typical restaurant fare, but rather delicious, home-cooked meals with plenty of options to choose from. The quality and variety of the food made every meal enjoyable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in nature.

Good place within nature. But cottage had leaking while raining. Also found insects in the room. We had some bananas for the kids in the room. It was all bitten by morning.

Loved the stay. I could not digest enough of this place in the weekend's stay. The peace, silence, rawness of nature was well balanced atleast during my stay, and hope it will be maintained not just by the management but also by the folks who come to stay here. I was quite surprised the property has no-alcohol and no-smoking policy which is very difficult to find in today's generation, keep it up 🙏🏽

This is one of my worst experiences in Gorukana Resort ,first of all the price what they charge not worth it ,poor management and services .I would not recommend it to anyone to visit this resort,you might get a better deal with more facilities.
