Great experience at a 500 year old palace

groupThis property is also called rawal palace. It is a 500 year old property. The owner of the property also stay in this place. I found the owner and the staff to be very courteous and friendly. It is a old property still maintained with an antique look and feel. They have not allowed to modernise the property and loose it's old touch. The rooms are located at different floors and people gave to climb steps. Toilets can be renovated. Approach to this place is a bit tricky, better to speak to the office and then go inside. Of somone is looking for a toch and feel of how the royal family stayed in big palace or haveli, then this is a good place to try out. This place is close to ranakpur jain temple and kumbhalgarh fort. If someone is looking for spending time away from from the crowd and in a homely place, good place to check out.

familyThis is a very old castle which just takes you back in time. Looking at the antiques and old photos show that this place has very rich heritage. It has 3 temples within the castle which are very beautiful. The rooms are also very traditional and huge. The food could have been better otherwise overall it is a different experience and totally worth it

Good for short stays

It's a good place to spend a weekend. It felt more like a home stay. Don't expect a lot of hotel like service. We enjoyed it for its informal home stay like vibe. They could definitely be more transparent about prices for various excursions etc. However our favorite memories are of the people who run it - khet singh and shahrukh bhai. They're warm and wonderful and add soul to the property.

Ghanerao property is excellent heritage property for a experience of Royal life. Well maintained and clean with all heritage value incorporate with proper placement. Rooms are big clean and staff is very cooperative and available for help. 22 KM away From rank our and 70 KM From Kumbhalghad.

Worst, please avoid the hotel

The property is not managed. One two persons in the entire palace, no phones in room. I have to leave the hotel after 45 minutes of check in, dirty smelly shady rooms, pool with black water. An perfect place to ruin your days.
