Jaipur Airport History:
Jaipur International Airport is situated in the southern region of Sanganer, at a distance of 13 km from the main city in the state of Rajasthan. It is the only international airport in the state of Rajasthan. International flights from the airport started after it got recognition as an international airport on 29 December 2005. The civil apron can accommodate a total of 14 A320 aircrafts and at once and the new terminal building can handle up to 1000 passengers. Planning is going on for the expansion of the runway to 12,000 ft (3,658 m) and also to extend the terminal building so that it can accommodate 1,000 passengers per hour.
Jaipur Airport Terminals
Terminal 1 - Domestic and International: The Terminal 1 is used for both international and domestic flights. It is highly developed and each and every latest facility including modern escalators and a high-tech baggage handling system and various other facilities are available here. Frequent flights run from here connecting it to all the major cities and towns of the world.
Terminal 2 - Domestic: Terminal 2 is mainly reserved for domestic carriers. Only domestic flights run from here at regular intervals. Jaipur Airport also provides air cargo services.

Places to Shop and Eat: Availability of n numbers of stores magnetizes the passengers towards it. Starting from stationery, chemist to jewellery and various other shops are there on the airport. One can get stuff from here at a very reasonable rate. There are varieties of stores in the airport premises. Bakery, restaurants, cafes, fast food stalls and other shops are available here. These stores offer several products to eat at a very nominal cost.
Duty Free Shopping: Duty free shopping facility is there from where one can buy stuff at a very minimum cost. Different varieties of products can be found in these duty free shops.
Connectivity with the City from Jaipur Airport:
Bus: Jaipur airport is located at a distance of around 11 km from the bus stand. To reach the desired destination, one can get buses from the bus stand. From the airport, one can easily get taxis or rickshaws to reach the main bus stand.
Rail: The railway station is located at a distance of around 13 km from the Jaipur airport. There are buses and taxis that one can hire to reach the railway station from the airport and vice versa.
