Hissar Airport History:
Hissar Airport is situated on the suburbs of the main city in the state of Haryana. It was first started in the year 1965 as Hissar Aviation Club but later on in the year 1999, it amalgamated with Haryana Institute of Civil Aviation (HICA). Currently, it is called as the Hissar branch of HICA. A privately controlled service was commenced from Hisar to Delhi and Patiala in the year 1971 but was ended after a six months of operation. In the year 2002, all Delhi Flying Club (DFC) flights from Safdarjung Airport were moved to Hissar.
