You eat, drink, sleep movies…eh? Take your love for movies to another level with the 9th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) in 2012, all set to charm the movie buffs along with the celebrities themselves from around the world.

What is it: A platform for directors, actors, writers, film makers from across the globe to share ideas and creativity on filmmaking, through various activities and seminars
Highlights: This DIFF will celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema
Screening of 161 Films
Ang Lee’s incredible movie, “Life of Pi,” which showcases the adventurous journey of a young boy who survives a sea disaster along with a Bengal tiger will be opening the festival, followed by the remaining 160 films that will be screened during the weeklong fest. The closing film will be Wayne Blair’s “The Sapphires.”
Celebrating 100 Years of Indian Cinema
A program called “Celebration of India” would form a part of the ninth edition of DIFF. This will feature world premieres of Sound by Bengali director and screenwriter Kaushik Ganguly. This Tollywood film revolves around the film industry of West Bengal. The next in line would be Shutter, from Joy Matthew, the actor-turned-filmmaker. Moviemaking excellence will be displayed with films like Shahid, Miss Lovely and Ship of Thesues on some of the days.
