Las Vegas’s reputation as ‘Sin City’ is no secret. Almost everyone who arrives in Las Vegas has dreams of winning an obscene amount of money. Open 24x7x365, the casinos in Las Vegas are tourist attractions in themselves. Some of the more popular ones are the Bellagio, Caesars Palace and MGM Grand. Larger than life and decked out with neon-lit slot machines and endless gaming tables, try your luck at Black Jack, Roulette and Poker. Even if you’re not a risk-it-for-the-biscuit kind of person, casinos are a great place to people watch and generally take in the vibrant atmosphere.

Musical and theatrical performances in Las Vegas are worth dropping some bucks for. Whether you’re in the mood for a concert or cabaret, the famous Strip is dotted with venues hosting over-the-top productions as well as smaller shows. Popular and longstanding Las Vegas entertainment acts include Celine Dion, Le Reve, Cirque de Soleil and Blue Man Group. Take a Gondola Ride

You may not be in Venice but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy an enchanting gondola ride. Make your way to The Venetian Las Vegas where you can sail down the Grand Canal in an authentic gondola and also be serenaded by your gondolier if you so wish. Complete with a St. Mark’s Square, be transported to the Renaissance instantly with other prominent Venetian attractions like the Rialto Bridge, Campanile Tower and Doge’s Palace.

Watch the Dancing Fountains

For a spectacle unique to Las Vegas, the Bellagio Fountains is a choreographed water show synched to light and music. Set in an eight and a half-acre lake right on the Strip, water jets soar as high as 140 metres and is visible from numerous vantage points. There are shows every 30 minutes in the afternoons and every 15 minutes in the evenings. Timings vary on the weekends. The best part—it’s free!

Experience the Shark Reef Aquarium

The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay boasts of an 8,800 square metre tank that houses a variety of fish including sharks and stingrays. There are also several exhibits at this public aquarium that serve to entertain and educate visitors. The Jungle Temple has various reptiles like golden crocodiles, a Komodo dragon, a Burmese python and green tree monitor lizards. One of the main attractions here is Shipwreck where species of sharks, endangered sea turtles, stingrays, sawfish and many other fish swim in a transparent saltwater exhibit.

Vegas is amazing. It’s literally one of the few cities that doesn’t sleep. There is a great adventure chopper ride you can take from here to get in between the Grand Canyon and over the Hoover dam. I loves it.
