Want To Go ?

If the Hollywood dream of aliens attacking the earth (read Washington DC or Los Angeles) ever came true, the civilization that reigns supreme will be the one that has a better tech-arsenal. But Earthlings are not going to disappoint because we spend huge monies and insane amounts of time developing and honing new technologies. Why do we do it? It’s good business! Don’t believe us; look at the track record of some of the DEMO alumni companies – they piqued the interest of tech-giants like Microsoft, Adobe and Yahoo, enough to get acquired. Aliens or no aliens; who doesn’t want that?

What is DEMO?

DEMO is an international launch pad that helps technology companies and innovators with viable products get a jump start in their race for perfection, idea fruition and ultimately funding. DEMO has been around for 22 years and has burned a trail when it comes to introducing new, amazing technology to the world. There is always space for ‘disruptive technologies’ that hack down old ways of doing things and DEMO helps by organising unique conferences for innovators and newbie companies to present their products to a band of eminent professionals and angel investors in single make or break sessions of just six minutes. And it works; to wit, DEMO alumni have raised more than $4.5 billion in the last five years!

Innovators and companies can also unveil new products and cutting-edge technologies at the Demo Pavilion and if all the geese fall into place, make a perfect V with investors willing to provide funding. If that doesn’t work out, there are several networking events peppering the DEMO event where you could meet other professionals or investors. DEMO India is now organising its first event in India from March 20-21 in Bengaluru.

Why go to DEMO India

The event is open to everyone and here’s what all is in store:

Tech Launches: DEMO hosts the birthing of new technologies and you can feast your eyes upon a carefully selected line up of new products making their debut. Rub shoulders with investors from India and abroad, corporate acquirers, strategic partners and international media.

DEMO Pavilion: The pavilion is always a hotbed of activity where you not only see new technologies being unveiled but can also network with innovators, investors and researchers. The place is ripe for striking new partnerships and getting a taste of the future in the tech-space.

DEMO Pitch: Innovators with products in the alpha stage get to present their ideas to investors and prospective customers at the six-minute pitch (minus PowerPoint presentations!). This is the most exciting part of the event, aimed mostly at students, and one where fortunes get made or slashed down to size. Expect no mercy!

Showcase Sponsorship Proposal: DEMO’s Showcase Sponsorship gives a big fillip to participating companies in terms of visibility and mileage.

Of all the trade shows happening in India this year, this one deserves a visit just so you can feel the pulsating energy of the event. Book your air tickets to Bengaluru only at MakeMyTrip!
