In April, Delhi hosts a rather unusual show - an exhibition for the exhibition industry. The Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) brings together companies that organise exhibitions, manage and design stands; venue owners and anyone who is involved in the operation of exhibitions. With a broad representation across the industry, the IEIA Open Seminar is now a significant event on the business calendar. To be held on April 25 and 26 this year, the event will be held at the luxurious JW Marriott Aerocity Hotel in New Delhi.

Putting India on Show

With the Indian economy being a significant force on the world stage, the ability for industries to grow and facilitate fair trade becomes very important. Exhibitions contribute to the development of a country’s economy by bringing together businesses with a common interest and encouraging commerce, exchange of ideas and new developments.

Settle In

There are plenty of places to stay to suit any budget close to the airport and the venue. For a taste of luxury, you could stay at the JW Marriott Aerocity itself, enjoying one of Delhi’s newest business hotels. Those on a more modest budget could try the Hotel Malik Continental or Airport Hotel Goodluck.

Enjoy the Surroundings

If you have a few hours to kill before your flight home, there are a few things you can do close to the airport.  Check out the suburb of Vasant Kunj, home to the some of the best malls in Delhi. The Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj is not only a premier shopping district, but also has some great entertainment to help you unwind. Perhaps grab some colleagues and try your hand at bowling at the BluO Bowling Centre or enjoy the atmosphere and the latest game on the big screen at Underdoggs Sports Bar and Grill. If you prefer something a bit quieter, you can pamper yourself witha massage at the Aroma Thai Foot Spa.

Alternatively, the DLF Promenade Mall has some great restaurants such as Smoke House Grill and Nando’s to grab a bite at before the journey home. You can find anything from pancakes and burgers to coffees and shakes.Timepermitting, you can even catch the latest movies at the mall’s cinema complex. If you’re in the mood for some indulgence, head to the luxury mall next door, The Emporio, and treat yourself to a Gucci or Burberry for your next conference. See what Delhi has on show.
