Australia Bans Entry of Visitors with Domestic Violence Convictions (Yay!)

Australia has yet again set an example! After the infamous travel visa denial row with R&B singer Chris Brown and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather over domestic violence convictions, Australia is once again in news for all the right reasons! Yes! Notching up its stand against domestic violence convicts, Australia has decided to ban visitors convicted of domestic violence charges, forever. Now that’s what we call being progressive!

On 28 February 2019, Australia passed this law, reiterating its firm stand against domestic violence towards women and children. Effective immediately, the law calls for a blanket ban on visitors convicted of domestic violence charges, as well as spells doom for residents looking to make Australia home.
