About Czech Airlines
Czech Airlines (OK) is a modern airline with over 80 years of tradition. The airline is the flag carrier of Czech Republic and the head office is situated on the grounds of Ruzyne Airport in Ruzyne, in Prague. Czech Airlines was the second airline in the world to commence successful jet airliner services, way back in the year 1957. Currently, Czech Airlines operates flight services to 69 destinations in 41 countries, which includes many important European cities and cities in Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East. Czech Airlines also offer charter and cargo services.
Czech Airlines, amongst the oldest airline of Europe, was founded on October 6th, 1923 by the government of Czechoslovak as CSA (Czechoslovak State Airlines). About 29 days later, the airline started its first transport flight, between Prague and Bratislava. The first international flight from Prague to Bratislava, further on to Zagreb was in 1930. In the year 1957, CSA became the second airline in the world to fly jet services. The airline started the first transatlantic services on February 3, 1962 with a flight to Havana. In 1974, the airline included JAK-40 and TU-154M in 1988 with a flight to Bangkok. Czech Airline has grown into a modern airline, adding newer routes and services, every year.
