One word. Amazing! Clafouti is so beautiful and strategically placed in the middle of the shops in the North Cliff. The food is amazing, staff is so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!

Room was not upto the mark. Entrance to the room was dark and full of rain water.Basic facility at bathroom was not there. Very late response from staff.

It was a great experience staying at Clafouti. Beautiful ambience, amazing food and very warm behaviour from the staff. They helped arrange our anniversary dinner and it was amazing! Highly recommend to visit this property

Resort is at best possible location and the property is well maintained on the outside. Rooms could have been maintained better. There was a foul smell constantly coming from washroom and we had to use room fresher during our whole stay. Restaurant was amazing, we had good North Indian and seafood. Premium cottages are much better, we upgraded for our last day and if one can afford, should go for it , definitely value for money. Overall comfortable stay except the smell issue.

Very beautiful view of the sea. hotel is decent. Staff are very polite. located on the cliff. Shops are a walk away. You can access varakala beach from cliff.

the rooms were not clean. food is also not nice in claufouti restaurant. the service was very poor. we were not able to stay there even for an hour. they did not agree to provide refund amount too. the photos they had given in internet is partial. there is no privacy between rooms. totally, i had a very bad experience. i usually book accommodation in makemytrip. in the last 5 years, this is the first room we asked for checkout immediately.

Stayed here recently and found the experience disappointing. Booked a ground-floor room that claimed “partial sea view” but had no view at all. Interiors felt cheap — black tiles, brown panelling across a wall, and poor ceiling décor. The extra adult bed provided was just a plastic-covered mattress on the floor, not even a cot. Floors stayed damp throughout, making the stay uncomfortable. This property is part of Akhil Beach Resort’s group (which runs several others in Varkala), so I’m unsure if the same standards apply elsewhere. The only plus: the compound offers a bit of open walking space. Otherwise, best avoided.

The room was small and dingy compared to its cost. the place also lacks good connecting road. The restaurant service was good though.

The property is located in the prime North Cliff which is the heart of Varkala Beach and Cliff. The entire vibes is concentrated in this region with nightlife. You feel special inside the resort when you see the crowd moving in front. Some maintenance work has to be done before the peak season. No pool but not a problem as the sea is near and I'm season time you are allowed to bath. The restaurant owned by the resort is awesome with continental cuisine and live fish. Overall experience is very good

it was horrible experience and destroyed my vacation of Varakala. The hotel was too mis managed and basic amenities like bathroom thing was missing

Property has good location with great quality service. Clean and hygiene bathrooms. I would recommend this Property to everyone

food was amazing and pocket friendly. no large mirror in the partial sea view rooms. they don't clean rooms upon request

Property not very well maintained. Beach view claim is not true. No private balconies, one long balcony for all rooms on floor. Width - only one person can stand at a time. I'd recommend this only if you do not have other beach resort options available

We booked this property for 3 days and had a terrible experience. The Wi-Fi was not working, the bed sheet was dirty, and the main door lock was broken. Additionally, the road leading to the property is so narrow that it is difficult to take a car to the site.The property is poorly maintained and the service does not justify the price we paid. I strongly recommend tourists to explore other options and consider this property only as a last resort.
