Imagine witnessing countless rats around you! Yes, it’s true.
This 15th century temple is not just popular for its beautiful architecture, but also for being home to thousands of rats. You will find rats everywhere, and that’s what makes this one of the most unique places to see in Bikaner. These rats are considered sacred here, and devotees come from near and far to offer sweets, milk and other forms of ‘prasad’ to them. Also, if you see any white (albino) rat, you are considered to be blessed.

Established in 1937, this museum is situated in the Lalgarh Palace of Bikaner.
If you are a history buff, this tourist hotspot in Bikaner will excite you with its rich display of archeological artefacts from Harappan and Gupta periods.
It also houses medieval musical instruments, royal furniture and miniatures of some palaces and the Royal Bikaner Train. Don’t miss the black and white photographs from the British Raj while you are here.
It is an absolute delight to visit the bazaar, savour tasty bhujjias, chew on some sweet pan or strike a conversation with a local while strolling through the old city.
You will love to wander through the maze of narrow streets here, graced by havelis and Jain temples, giving it a charming medieval feel. Adding to that, the old city still retains its 18th century wall with five magnificent entrance gates.
This is just the tip of the iceberg! So are you ready to explore Bikaner?
