Thank God for Visa on Arrival Holidays!

If only I could get my Europe Visa, 

I would be sitting on the tower of Pisa,

But these visa interviews are such,

I say hey, “Why you want to know so much?”  

“My passport is valid, mister officer! Three months it’s got till it retires.”

 

“180 days it says on our T&C, Mister Dehl, If you fly out of India, I’ll but get fired.  

Been three years since you’ve filed

Your income tax return

If you did, you would be flying Air India

To the Palace of Schonbrunn”

 

Now come to me only

After all your docs are sorted,

Be careful next time or

Consider this trip of yours aborted”

 

Jet Airways! Come on my boy! Come me over the Pacific Bay,

Mister Kingfisher is acting a bit cranky,

He ain't flying too much these days,  

Hassled, I sat in my office

Dreaming in the middle of the day,

Thinking of a utopian world

A world full of visa-free holidays  

 

No, there’s not a place outside the country

Where I can enjoy a visa-free stay

Where IndiGo could fly me on a windy

And a happy weeklong holiday  

 

One day, loitering on the web,

I found some places across the Bengal Bay, Thailand, Bali, Mauritius, and Seychelles,

Finally I found these islands tagged “Visa-on-arrival holidays!”  

Macau, Sri Lanka, Maldives I searched and found some more of them

Oh! how pleasing it was to hear about these

 

So goodbye mister officer, you strict Europe visa man,

I am heading down south to the Hua Hin beach,

You can keep your big T&C talk and your big Europe holiday plan

Keep it all with you until the next time we meet
