I am writing to express my disappointment with the treatment I received during check-in at The Savode Amritsar on 08/11/2025. Despite arriving at 11:05 AM—consistent with the 11:00 AM check-in time confirmed during booking—Mr. Subhash at the reception asked us to wait without providing any clear timeframe. When I followed up after 15 minutes, his vague response (“20, 30, or 40 minutes”) and refusal to acknowledge the booking terms were unprofessional.
Upon presenting our confirmation, which guaranteed room readiness by 11:00 AM, deflected responsibility, responded rudely, and told me to “re-read the receipt.” His attitude lacked courtesy and empathy. The room was eventually allotted 45 minutes late, clearly falling short of expected service standards.
Additionally, questioned our choice to book and advised us to “talk to your booking agency,” which felt inappropriate.
It was also concerning that no staff wore nameplates, making accountability difficult. As a frequent traveler, I found the staff’s behavior not only disrespectful but also suggestive of an assumption that guests could be mistreated without consequence.
While the room itself was comfortable and amenities satisfactory, the poor check-in experience overshadowed our stay. Hospitality begins with respectful treatment, and rude behaviour , refusing to take responsibility reflects a serious lapse in training and values.
I urge you to take corrective action and ensure staff are trained to uphold basic standards of professionalism and courtesy. Such behavior must not be repeated.
