Goldenfern Resort Shimla

Dated hotel, poor quality food with no taste. Smelly restaurant. Older beddings and linens. No hot water till next morning and exhaust was not working in bathroom. Complaint does not work here.

Nice . In the booking, 24x7 service was detailed which was not available in the hotel. That was really not acceptable.

Our stay during peak of summer season at golden fern was quite pleasant. The balcony rooms were very spacious, clean and well maintained. In-house restaurant serves good food but is bit expensive. The passage from rooms to restaurant needs to have some amendments in terms of infrastructure. Post 11 PM, you will barely find any staff/security guards at the main gate, so security was bit of a concern.

Review was good. Nice play to stay, mall road is 6-7 KM. Rooms are good and servicd is pretty quick. If you boom breakfast option you may not get all option but still decent enough.

The food quality is very good and ambience is excellent. There are different types of sports like bedminton, table Tanis, archery, carrom, billiards. The balcony room has a very nice view of the city and nature. The price of the room is a little bit High.All over the experience is very good.

Hotel was good. Service was very good. But there must be a Kida zone in this hotel as our child was not happy with this.

We stayed three days in group of eight persons in three suite rooms. Suite rooms are big in size. Two adults and two children can freely accommodate. One and half bath (wash rooms) available in suite room, air-conditioning really working very effectively. A 50 mts of opporach road to hotel bit narrow. It's quite common in any hill station.

The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable really liked the service but the only issue we faced was related to the food didn’t like the taste at all even after asking for other dish there wasn’t any change in the taste. But would recommend this hotel for sure apart from food everything is good.
