The best part about the Hotel Monopol is its location, right in the middle of the city and next to main train and bus station. Other major tourist attractions are walking distance. Rooms are in good size and accommodated three adults well with a dedicated bed for the third person not the make shift sofa **** bed types. Toilet was of good size and had all essential amenities. Breakfast spread could be slightly better. The Hotel Monopol provided complementary water bottles too in room which is rare in this part of the world but it was sparkling water only, still water needs to be paid for. Staff at reception is courteous, but in other parts of the services especially at restaurant need to be a bit sensitive. Overall a wonderful stay

The property location is perfect. Very close to railway station, bus station and boat station. Regarding food, the breakfast had a wide spread of different varieties of food for both vegetarian and non vegetarian guests. The rooms were spacious with all the required facilities like tea/coffee making machines, unlike other Hotel Monopols in switzerland.

What a location, excellent. Bang opposite the station, and opposite the Lucerne river ... Very convenient, lots of food joints around making this an ideal place to chill ... Local travel is very easy from the Hotel Monopol.

Hotel is good, location is very good, breakfast is good but not good for vegetarians, rooms are small, we asked for a double bed as they had given two single beds, the room size reduced further.
