Since the season was just right, we were able to enjoy a varied spectacle of wildlife scurrying around in the lush greenery of Kaziranga National Park. The leafy environs and the quiet of the forest swathed our senses, and brought us closer to nature.

Embarking on the much-awaited jeep safari was nothing short of splendorous. It was an exhilarating feeling to come so close to a bunch of one-horned rhinos soaking in the sun. We were also lucky enough to spot a tiger sauntering through the plush greens! A pair of binoculars came in handy to appreciate the vibrancy of the Indian roller relaxing away on a tree trunk. We also crossed paths with a majestic herd of elephants ambling through the thicket. While we had been excited about the safari, we couldn’t have imagined we would get to see so much wildlife in a single day!

Topping it off with Tea

After experiencing the best of wilderness, there was a pretty surprise waiting for us. From the dramatic greens, we went on to explore the manicured carpet of tea plantations. We were taken through the entire journey of a tea leaf—right from cultivation to processing—before it transforms into a delectable cuppa of Assamese tea.
