Andaman and Nicobar Islands

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • Fully vaccinated travellers going to Andaman & Nicobar are exempted from carrying a negative RT-PCR negative test provided they are able to show a final vaccination certificate. Non-vaccinated and partially vaccinated must carry a negative RT-PCR report with a sample taken within 48 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Non-vaccinated and partially vaccinated travellers will be administered a mandatory RT-PCR test upon arrival free of cost and will be required to self-isolate till the test result is received. Exemption: Children below 12 years of age are exempted from pre-departure and post-arrival RT-PCR tests.

Quarantine rules:

  • Travellers will have to do a mandatory home/institutional quarantine till the test result comes out. If any traveller tests positive, he/she will be sent for institutional quarantine for further treatment.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu app. Hand-written reports are not acceptable and travellers must collect their checked-in baggage from the testing center in place of the arrival hall.

Andhra Pradesh

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • No restrictions are in place. However, travellers are advised to carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • No quarantine is required.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu app. All travellers must register themselves on Spandana website.

For international travel:

Arunachal Pradesh

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • Travellers going to Tezu & Pasighat will have to mandatorily undergo COVID 19 testing upon arrival, for which the cost will be borne by the travellers. Else, travellers must carry a negative RT-PCR test report conducted by an ICMR approved lab, with sample collection done within 48 hours of departure.

For international travel:

Assam

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers who have completed 2 doses of vaccination will be exempted from testing on arrival. Fully vaccinated travellers entering Assam are no longer required to carry RT-PCR test. Thermal screening will be done upon arrival. For other travellers arriving at any airport in Assam, there will be a mandatory RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) upon arrival. If the RAT result is positive, the traveller will have to undergo home isolation or get admitted to a private hospital or a Government Health Institution depending on his/her medical condition. If the RAT result is negative, the traveller will have to undergo an RT-PCR test at the airport itself. The cost of the RT-PCR test shall be borne by the traveller. Travellers shall only be allowed to leave the airport after the collection of sample/swab for the RT-PCR test and under the condition that he/she shall remain under home quarantine till result declaration. If the RT-PCR test result is positive, the tourist will have to undergo home isolation or get admitted to a private hospital or a Government Health Institution depending on his/her medical condition. If the RT-PCR test result is negative, the traveller will be allowed to continue his/her activities.

Quarantine rules:

  • No quarantine for fully vaccinated travellers or those who test negative. Mandatory 7-day home quarantine for all travellers if the RT-PCR test is positive.
  • Exemption from quarantine:
  • Residents of Northeastern states other than Assam who are arriving in any airport in Assam from outside the state and are directly traveling to any other Northeastern state shall be exempted from on arrival testing provided they are able to produce proof of address at the Northeastern states and are asymptomatic.
  • All transit passengers of Intra Assam and Inter Northeastern states shall be exempted from on arrival testing provided they are able to produce proof of address in the Northeastern states and are asymptomatic.
  • Government officials and those traveling due to medical reasons and family bereavement shall be exempted from mandatory quarantine.

Bihar

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • It is advisable for travellers entering Bihar to either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. All travellers coming from states where COVID infection rate is high might undergo Rapid Antigen Test at the airport upon arrival.

Quarantine rules:

  • None, as long as all tests are negative. If positive, local health authorities will dictate quarantine terms.

Chandigarh

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Chandigarh must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Pre-departure test exemption: Infants and children below the age of 10 years. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • No quarantine.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu App. Travellers must also register on the COVA Punjab App before the departure.

For international travel:

Chhattisgarh

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Chattisgarh must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Pre-departure test exemption: Infants and children below the age of 12 years. All travellers will have to undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing upon arrival. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • Travellers undergoing test upon arrival must remain in home quarantine till the test result is declared.

Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • Covid vaccination certificate or negative RT-PCR report is required to enter the territory. Thermal screening will be done for travellers.

Delhi

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • In view of the surge in number of COVID-19 cases, random on-arrival testing will be done for travellers arriving from states where there has been a spurt in number of COVID-19 cases. Travellers will be allowed to exit after sample collection. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers upon arrival.

Quarantine rules:

  • Travellers who are found COVID positive will be quarantined at home or CCC/CHC/Hospital for 10 days.
  • Constitutional and Govt. functionaries as well as their staff members are exempted from 7 days of home quarantine.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu app.

Goa

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Goa must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report.
  • Following travellers are exempted from the above-mentioned requirement:
    • Travellers entering Goa for a medical emergency on production of proof or coming in an ambulance.
    • Travellers who are fully vaccinated (two doses) and have completed 15 days since the receipt of the 2nd dose.

  • None

Gujarat

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers coming from Maharashtra and Kerala must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. If travellers exhibit any symptoms (cold/cough etc), they must take a self-paid RAT on arrival. Travellers from other states can travel without restrictions. Special rules for SURAT: ALL travellers arriving in Surat from anywhere in India must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Children below the age of 12 years will be exempted. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report.

Quarantine rules:

  • None, as long as all tests are negative. If a test is positive, local health authorities will dictate quarantine terms.
  • For Kerala and Maharashtra: Unvaccinated travellers may be adviced by medical teams to self-monitor their health for 15 days and send the details to the concerned medical officer for follow up.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu app. Domestic travellers from other states going to Surat must fill and submit the Novel Corona Self-Reporting Form online and download the SMC COVID-19 Tracker app.

Haryana

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • Negative RT-PCR test report is not required to enter Haryana. Thermal screening shall be done for all travellers.

Himachal Pradesh

Jammu & Kashmir

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Jammu and Kashmir must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Pre-departure test exemption for Srinagar: Defence Personnel arriving into the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. Travellers without a valid test report/vaccination certificate will have to undergo RAT upon arrival. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report.

Quarantine rules:

  • No institutional quarantine is required. However, if the travellers test positive, they will be asked to home quarantine for 14 days.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu App. Travellers are required to fill up an ICMR health form upon arrival.

For international travel:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Jharkhand

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Jharkhand must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Travellers without a valid test report/vaccination certificate will have to undergo RAT upon arrival. Travellers might get de boarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report.

Quarantine rules:

  • Mandatory 7-day home quarantine for all passenger arriving in Jharkhand.
  • Following traveller categories are exempted from the mandatory 7-day home quarantine period:
  • Travellers who have a return journey within 72 hours from the arrival into the state of Jharkhand.
  • Travellers passing through the state during interstate movement.
  • Government of India officials on official duty.
  • Travellers who undertake daily interstate travel for purpose of mining/industrial/agriculture/health care related activities.

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu App.
  • All travellers must register on Government of Jharkhand website www.jharkhandtravel.nic.in

For international travel:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Karnataka

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • Travellers from Maharashtra, Kerala and Goa, entering Karnataka must either carry a final vaccination certificate (both doses done) or a negative RT-PCR report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Travellers from all states will have to undergo thermal screening at the airport.
  • Following category of travellers are exempted from the above-mentioned requirement:
    • Constitutional functionaries and healthcare professionals.
    • Children below the age of 2 years.
    • Travellers arriving in emergency situations such as a death in the family, medical treatment might have to take an on-arrival test and further action will be decided basis the test result.
    • Short term travellers (2 days or less) from Maharashtra do not need to carry a negative test report as long as they have a return ticket and vaccination certificate (all doses done).

Quarantine rules:

  • All students arriving from Kerala must undergo mandatory 7 days of institutional quarantine before they start their studies. No quarantine for other travellers arriving in Karnataka.

Kerala

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Kerala must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. The 72-hour RT-PCR test report is mandatory for travellers visiting Kerala for a short duration, for purposes like business, official, trade, medical, court cases, property management etc. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Some travellers might have to undergo a self-paid RAT at a facility outside the airport if Trivandrum is the port of arrival. If the arrival is in Kochi, the RT-PCR testing facility is available at the airport. RAT upon arrival, is at the discretion of the local health authorities. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report.

Quarantine rules:

  • Travellers who do not want to undergo RT-PCR test upon arrival will be required to undergo mandatory 14 days home quarantine. This is not applicable for travellers arriving in Kannur. For Calicut only: Travellers undergoing test on arrival shall remain under home/institutional quarantine till the test result is declared. The transportation from airport to quarantine facility/home quarantine shall be in double chambered vehicles.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu App. All travellers must register their details here. They must obtain an e-pass and display it to the health officials at the airport.

For international travel:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Ladakh

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Ladakh must undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test upon arrival, irrespective of whether they are carrying a vaccination certificate or pre-departure test. Travellers must carry a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 48 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Thermal screening shall be done for all travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • Travellers who test positive, will be transferred to a COVID-19 facility for further processing. If the test report is negative, travellers shall be released from mandatory quarantine. Exception: Personal of Defense and Central Armed Police are exempted from the above provisions.

Lakshadweep

COVID test/vaccination rules:

RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Madhya Pradesh

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • For Gwalior and Maharashtra: All travellers entering Madhya Pradesh must carry a negative RT-PCR test report, with sample taken 72 hours before departure. Travellers without a valid test report/vaccination certificate will have to undergo RAT upon arrival.
  • Other States: No restrictions in place. However, travellers are advised to carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • No quarantine.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu App.

For international travel:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Maharashtra

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Maharashtra must either carry a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Negative RT-PCR test report is not required for fully vaccinated travellers to enter Maharashtra. Travellers may not be allowed to board their flights if they do not carry a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.
  • For Mumbai: In exceptional cases like family distress, etc., testing may be allowed on arrival at the airport.
  • For Pune: Armed forces personnel and their family members and Members of Parliament are exempted from the above-mentioned requirements.

Quarantine rules:

  • No quarantine or hand stamping is required for asymptomatic travellers arriving from a domestic city/state.

For international travel:

Manipur
  • All travellers aged 5 years and above (irrespective of their vaccination status) entering Manipur must carry negative RT-PCR report with a sample taken within 48 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • No quarantine for those with a valid pre-departure test.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Meghalaya

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Meghalaya must either carry a final COVID vaccination certificate (15 days must have passed since final dose) OR a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Travellers might not be allowed to board their flights if they are not carrying a valid test report/vaccination certificate. Some travellers might have to undergo a RAT test upon arrival, this is at the discretion of the local health authorities.

Quarantine rules:

  • All travellers undergoing RAT test on arrival shall be required to undergo home or paid quarantine or as designated by the local health authorities on arrival, till the test result is received (usually available within 48 Hours). All travellers entering and exiting the state on the same day shall be required to be confined to their area of work. Exception: Essential service providers to the State as certified by Home (Political) Department, Government of Meghalaya shall be exempted from testing on arrival on production of RAT negative certificate issued within 48 hours from arrival into the state from an ICMR recognized laboratory or on production of final vaccination certificate (two doses done).

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu App. All travellers must register on the State portal. All travellers heading for the purpose of tourism are required to register on Meghalaya Portal and generate an e-invite for tourists. Travellers must also download Behavioral Change Management App of Meghalaya on their smartphones.

For international travel:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Mizoram

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Mizoram are advised to carry a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Some travellers might have to undergo a RAT test upon arrival, this is at the discretion of the local health authorities.

Quarantine rules:

  • No quarantine is required.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu App. All travellers entering Mizoram must apply for a valid m-Pass on the State website.

For international travel:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Nagaland

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Nagaland aged 12 years and above are advised to carry a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Some travellers might have to take an RT-PCR test upon-arrival, this is however at the discretion of the state authorities.

Quarantine rules:

  • All travellers arriving into the state of Nagaland shall be required to undergo 7 days of institutional quarantine. Exception: Following are exempted from institutional quarantine subject to 28 days of home quarantine: Person above the age of 60 years, children & parents of children 10 years & below, pregnant women & accompanying spouse.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu App, travellers must download the COVID-19 Nagaland App and submit their health status and contact details. Travellers are also required to submit a self-declaration form for home quarantine through the nCOVID Nagaland Visitors App/online/ or by WhatsApp to helpline no. 7630877991.

Odisha

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • No restrictions are in place. However, travellers are advised to carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Punjab

  • RT-PCR test report is NOT needed to enter Puducherry and all travellers will undergo thermal screening.

Rajasthan

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Rajasthan must either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. These rules are not applicable for travellers holding constitutional positions, medical personnel, defense personnel, children between the ages of 0-5 years. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers and COVID-19 testing shall be done for all symptomatic travellers. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report.

Quarantine rules:

  • Symptomatic travellers will be isolated and taken to the nearest health facility. Mandatory institutional or home quarantine for 7 days for those without a valid RT-PCR test report or vaccination certificate till the RT-PCR negative report is produced.

Sikkim

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Sikkim (irrespective of their vaccination status) must carry a final COVID a negative RT-PCR report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Tamil Nadu

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers from Kerala flying to Tamil Nadu must either carry a valid vaccination certificate (both doses done) or a negative RT-PCR test report (sample taken within 72 hours before arrival). Travellers from all other states (except Kerala) can enter without restrictions. Travellers from any state flying to Coimbatore must carry a negative RT-PCR test report 72 hours before departure. Without a valid test, they will have to undergo a test on arrival in Coimbatore. Thermal screening will be done for all arriving travellers.
  • On-arrival test: Symptomatic travellers from other states and union territories must undergo a test on arrival.
  • If they test positive and symptomatic, they will be taken to the hospital for isolation
  • If negative and asymptomatic, they must self-monitor their health for 14 days
  • If negative and symptomatic, they will be taken to the hospital for isolation and further treatment.

Quarantine rules:

  • All travellers from Maharashtra and Kerala must home quarantine for 7 days and self-monitor their health for 7 days after arrival. 14 days of self-monitoring for all travellers arriving into Tamil Nadu from other states/UT. Exemption: Business travellers visiting Tamil Nadu for a short stay of 72 hours from other states are exempted from home quarantine. However, this exemption is not applicable for those travelling to Coimbatore. Symptomatic travellers will be required to go for institutional quarantine till the time COVID test results are available, at the discretion of health officials. After which they will be required to complete remaining period of home quarantine.

Telangana

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • Negative COVID RTPCR test is not required for travellers from other states, entering Telangana. However, travellers are recommended to carry a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done). Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

  • No quarantine required.

Tripura

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Tripura must carry either a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done) OR a negative RT-PCR report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival.   • All symptomatic travellers or those who test positive shall undergo 14 days quarantine and asymptomatic travellers or those who test negative are exempted from quarantine.

Uttarakhand

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • It is mandatory for all travellers entering Uttarakhand to carry their COVID negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Alternatively, travellers can also carry their vaccination certificate (2 doses taken), however they will be required to undergo COVID-19 testing upon arrival. Pre-departure test exemption: Defence Personnel and their families are exempted from the test. Travellers might get deboarded if they do not carry a valid vaccination certificate or test report. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • If the traveller is found positive then necessary protocols that have been laid down by state authorities, will be followed.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Travellers must download and update the Aarogya Setu App. All travellers must register on the state website before departure.

For international travel:

  • International arrivals entering the state must check Government-issued guidelines on registration, quarantine and testing protocols here.
Uttar Pradesh

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • All travellers entering Uttar Pradesh must either carry a final COVID vaccination certificate (both doses done) OR a negative RT-PCR report with a sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. RT-PCR test timeline starts from the swab collection time. Thermal screening will be done for all arriving travellers.

Quarantine rules:

  • Travellers arriving from any domestic state or city who exhibit COVID symptoms on arrival must quarantine at home for 14 days.
  • Exception: Travellers exiting Uttar Pradesh within 7 days of arrival shall be exempted from mandatory quarantine subject to validation of return/onward travel.

Pre-registration or e-pass rules:

  • Download and update the Aarogya Setu app. Travellers must pay the cost of RT-PCR test upon arrival themselves.
  • Travellers need to register on the state website before they exit the arrival hall using this weblink or by calling on 1800-180-5145.

West Bengal

COVID test/vaccination rules:

  • It’s mandatory for all travellers entering West Bengal to either carry their COVID vaccination certificate (2 doses taken) or a negative RT-PCR test report with sample taken within 72 hours before arrival. Negative RT-PCR test report is NOT required for fully vaccinated travellers to enter West Bengal. Thermal screening will be done for all travellers. Anyone having symptoms similar to COVID will not be allowed to board and will be required to follow treatment protocols according to local health authority rules. Travellers might get deboarded if they are not carrying valid vaccination certificate or test report.
  • Travellers who do not have to carry the test include:
    • Children below 2 years of age.

Quarantine rules:

  • 14 days of self-monitoring for all asymptomatic passengers.
  • For symptomatic passengers, the health authorities will decide the quarantine requirement on the case basis.

We sincerely urge you to follow these compulsory travel guidelines listed out by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and other relevant authorities, for a safe and hassle-free flying experience!

  • Passengers are required to wear face masks at all times, at the airport and in the flight.
  • Passengers must arrive at the airport, using a personal or an authorized vehicle only.
  • Travellers are advised to download and activate the Aarogya Setu app on their phones to certify their health status.
  • Only passengers who have completed web check-in will be allowed to enter the airport. Please do carry an e-boarding pass on your mobile. Alternatively, you can carry the printout of the boarding pass.
  • Travellers should report to the airport at least 2 hours prior to the departure time. Boarding gates will close 20 minutes before departure.
  • Only passengers who have flights departing in the next 4 hours will be allowed to enter the terminal building.
  • Use of trolley is not allowed.
  • Only 1 check-in baggage up to 20 kgs and 1 cabin baggage will be allowed per passenger.

Passengers who submit a self-declaration form stating that they have tested negative for COVID-19 during the 3 weeks prior to departure are fit to fly. In case of a PNR having more than one passenger, the declaration would be deemed to be covering all the passengers mentioned in the PNR.

Stringent guidelines have been put in place by various airport authorities to ensure optimum safety for all travellers at all times. You are requested to cooperate with the authorities and play your part in enhancing safety for yourself and others.

Sanitised Environment

  • Hand sanitizers made available at multiple locations within the airport.
  • Usage-based sanitisation/disinfection of all passenger touch points conducted.
  • Sanitisation of baggage before entry into the terminal and upon arrival.
  • Mats/carpet soaked with bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite solution) placed at the entrance for disinfecting shoes.
  • Clear, transparent glass shields installed as a barrier between the passengers and airport staff at high-traffic touch points such as entry gates, check-in counters, security checkpoints etc.

Trained Staff

  • All airport staff provided with hand sanitizers and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • For unaccompanied minors and passengers with special needs such as wheelchairs, the handling staff to be in full protection gear with pre-sanitised wheelchairs.

Safe Practices

  • Adequate disembarkation points for vehicles provided to avoid crowding.
  • Use of trolleys minimized/discouraged at the airport.
  • Social distancing markings at a minimum distance of 1 meter and separated seating in the forecourt areas ensured. Select chairs marked ‘Not for Use’ to ensure adequate distancing.
  • Separate areas earmarked for isolation and COVID-19 testing of suspected passengers.
  • Separate entry gates designated for each airline to avoid overcrowding.
  • Proper disposal of all biohazard materials ensured through special bins earmarked for used masks, tissues, gloves etc.
  • No newspapers, magazines or non-essential loose items provided in the terminal building or lounges.

  • Sanitisation of all aircrafts after every flight and at the end of the day, as per the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) protocol.
  • Use of HEPA filters to filter out particles and airborne contaminants such as viruses and bacteria.

  • No printed receipts at baggage drop counters. Passengers to receive electronic receipts via SMS.
  • Only digital payment accepted at ticketing and baggage counters.
  • Passengers provided with protection kits (3-layered surgical masks, face shield and sanitizer) near the boarding gates, for use throughout the journey.
  • Temperature screening of passengers at boarding. Symptomatic passengers are not permitted to board the aircraft.
  • Airplane lavatories cleaned/sanitised after every hour during the flight.
  • The buses used for boarding sanitised continuously.

Trained Staff

  • All staff to follow proper hygiene standards, and wear protective gear (masks and gloves) at all times.
  • All staff including the ground staff and crew to undergo regular health checks, and training on various protective/preventive measures.
  • ln case of COVID-19 related medical emergency on board, aircraft disinfection to be carried with special attention to the affected seats.

Safe Practices

  • Boarding commences 60 minutes before departure to allow time for safety processes.
  • Staggered sequential boarding in batches of 10 done to the extent possible.
  • Use of lavatory and non-essential movement in the aisle to be minimised.
  • No queuing allowed at the lavatory. Only one companion allowed for children and the elderly.
  • No meal services or on-board sale of food items to minimize physical contact. Water bottle made available in the galley area or on the seats.
  • Passengers not permitted to consume any eatables inside the aircraft during the flight (except on health grounds).
  • No newspapers/magazines made available in the aircraft.
  • Passengers required to complete web check-in prior to arriving at the airport. Airline to provide passengers with a facility to tele check-in.
  • Self-declaration by passengers during web/ tele check-in required for issuance of boarding pass.
