Overview
Sitting 10 kms away from Katra, the distance to Ardh Kuwari Cave can be covered within an hour. Legend has it that Goddess Vaishno Devi took rest in these caves for 8 months before making her way to the Bhavan.

What To Expect?
The cave acts as a stopover for pilgrims who make their way up to the Bhavan. Since the darshan route of the caves is semi-circular, tourists exit from a different opening, a small distance away from the entry point.
Tips
- The journey through the cave can become an adventure for kids, since devotees have to crawl on their knees to reach the other side.
- On the other side, tourists will be able to spot a large shrine that’s dedicated to the three Goddesses – Kali, Saraswati and Lakshmi.
- Wear shoes for your journey.
