Overview
Wankaner, Gujarat, is a princely town famous for its regal heritage and historic buildings near the river's bend in the Macchu. The words "wanka" and "ner," both meaning "bend" and "river," combine to form the city's name. The city was founded by the Jhala Rajputs, thus its other name, "Jhalawar."
