Elk Island National Park is a beautiful conservation area located just east of Edmonton. It's home to herds of free-roaming plains and wood bison, elk, and over 250 species of birds. The park plays a key role in the conservation of the American bison.
Suggested Duration - 3-4 hours
The park offers a range of activities including hiking, wildlife viewing, and stargazing. Visitors can explore over 80 km of trails, spot wildlife, or enjoy a picnic by Astotin Lake. The temperature can drop to -10�C in winter and rise to 20�C in summer, so dressing appropriately is advised.
