Glyfada is a posh suburb in the Southern part of Athens in the Athens Riviera region. Being a port city it offers beautiful vistas of the sea and sky and is a good place to hang out.

Visit the Glyfada Market that’s famous for shopping and cafes. Else explore the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre, see the Asteras Beach that has clear waters or check out the Glyfada Golf Course.

  • Vegetarians can dine at the vegan/vegetarian restaurant Yi, where all ingredients are locally sourced.
  • Try Queen Burger, chocolate buns at Tasos, ice cream and shakes at 4Shake or dine elegantly at Ark.
  • Do see the Poseidon Temple at sundown at Sounion. Here you can have lunch or just coffee. The route is dotted with beaches.
  • The south shores of Voula, Varkiza, Vari and Vouliagmeni are famous for swimming and weekend scenes.
