    Sivanmalai Temple is set about 5 kilometres from Kangeyam in the Tirupur district. Lord Murugan is the patron god of this temple. Each year during the Thaipoosam festival, the temple is flooded with worshippers due of its fame. Also, three days of celebration are dedicated to cars at the annual "Thearotam" festival.

    Udumalpet, in the Tirupur District, is the site of the Amaravathi Dam. The Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary, among others, are quite nearby. Its primary functions are flood mitigation and irrigation. K. Kamaraj formally inaugurated the Dam in the late 1950s. Early in 2003, the Amaravathi Dam provided power for more than forty per cent of Tirupur.

    Tirupur is home to the well-known Panchalinga Waterfall. The beautiful waterfall is found near Tirupur, about 18 kilometres from Udumalaipettai and 3 kilometres from the Thirumoorthy Temple. Stunning in both appearance and serenity, the Panchalinga Waterfall is a wonderful place to reflect and take in the scenery. A number of dams and religious structures can be found in the area.

    A memorial statue stands here in honour of the liberation warrior, Tirupur Kumaran. He was a native of Tirupur and was slain in a lathi charge by British police during a protest march there. Tirupur Kumaran Route is the primary road that runs the length and width of the city, and it is named after him.

    Revered Hindu shrine
    Sundara Pandya, a member of the Pandya dynasty, built Avinashi Temple in the 15th century. Two young boys, so the tradition goes, once came to this tank to take a dip. The resident crocodile in the lake ate one of them. The temple's vehicle, one of the biggest of its type in all of South India, is a major attraction.
