Hoshiarpur

Bajrour village in Hoshiarpur is home to the revered Gurudwara Harian Vellan Patshahi VII. The Hoshiarpur-Garhshankar Road is exactly 14 kilometres from the Hoshiarpur Railway Station. Dedicated to the seventh Sikh guru, Har Rai Ji, this temple stands as a place of worship. This is where Guru Sahib rode in with an army of 2,200 equestrians. The man who was his most devoted follower, Baba Prajapati Ji, invited him to remain with him. This home was demolished to make way for the Gurudwara.

Gurudwara Bhai Joga Singh Ji is located in the heart of Hoshiarpur, in the Mohalla Shekhon neighbourhood. Although originally from Peshawar, Bhai Joga Singh has spent many years serving at Anandpur's Guru Sahib devotion. When his parents pleaded with Guru Sahib to let him return home and be married, he stayed with Guru Gobind Singh ji for many years.

When it comes to religion and spirituality, the Shah Noor Jamal Tomb in Hoshiarpur is unrivalled. People have been coming to this grave for centuries to pray and make wishes. Individuals from the Muslim, Sikh, and Hindu communities have all gathered in large numbers to pay their respects. The mausoleum of Shah Noor Jamal is the site of an annual Urs festival in the month of March.

The Takhni Rehmapur wild animal sanctuary is a popular tourist destination in Hoshiarpur, and no visitor to the area should miss it. Because of its gorgeous surroundings and location in the foothills of the Shivalik peaks, the city of Hoshiarpur is surrounded by a dry and deciduous forest. Many species of exotic animals and plants are protected within this wildlife refuge.

Initiated by the Pandavas, the Kamahi Devi Temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kamakshi. The temple's original name was Kamakshi Devi, but the locals soon began to pronounce it Kamahi Devi. During their twelve years in exile, the Pandavas travelled to this area. This section of the temple is equally fascinating to sightseers.

Since Hoshiarpur is located on the Shivalik mountain range, day trips there are full of beautiful natural scenery. Dasuya Forest Division is one of the most beautiful locations included in this series. Located in the Dasuya area, it is one of the region's most notable green woods.

The Sheesh Mahal is the primary attraction for vacationers in Hoshiarpur. Inside and out, the exquisite glasswork makes this the most paradisiacal of Hoshiarpur's tourist spots. The walls, roof, exterior, and pillars of this building are entirely made of glass, and it's all ornamented with glass pieces as well. It recreates the atmosphere of historical royal residences faithfully.

Located in the Hoshiarpur neighbourhood of Tehsil Dasuya, the 1.5-kilometre-long trek from Garna Sahib Railway Station brings you to the holy site of Gurudwara Garna Sahib. It was constructed to honour Guru Har Gobind Ji. After leaving Kartarpur, Guru Sahib arrived here.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji, the oldest son of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, has ties to Gurudwara Sahib Shaheedan, Ladhewal. Hakam Jabar Khan, the owner of Bassi at the time, had a history of committing atrocities against Hindus and kidnapping their women. A poor Brahmin named Devi Das had his wife abducted by him once. In Anandpur, the Brahmin found sanctuary at Guru Gobind Singh Ji's feet. Sahibzada Ajit Singh ji was dispatched by Guru Sahib with an army of 200 courageous Sikh troops to liberate Jabar Khan's wife.

Hoshiarpur is home to the well-known Gurudwara Pulpukhta Sahib. It's close to the Tanda train station in Pulpukhta, on Tanda-Hargobind Road. There is a shrine here since the sixth Sikh guru, Har Gobind Sahib Ji, came here and remained for a while. The Guru Sahib's horse was tethered to a Tahli tree log on the banks of Kali Bein. This led to the area becoming known as Tahli Sahib as well. This wooden relic has been carefully stored within the sarovar of this Gurudwara sahib for many years.
