Having the distinction of being India’s first zoo to initiate the white tiger safari, Nandankanan Zoological Park is located at one end of Bhubaneswar near the Patia Square.

Exhibiting typical Kalinga-style temple architecture, the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar's Old Town is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. It exhibits a fine confluence of Shaivism and Vaishnavism in its architectural style.

A legendary temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is said to have been erected in honour of two star-crossed lovers – Kedar and Gouri. The Kedargouri Temple is one of the eight Ashtasambhu Temples (temples dedicated to Shambhu, an avatar of Shiva).

Constructed in the popular Pancharatha style, the Rajarani Temple is a celebration of love. The absence of any deity symbolises the same and welcomes people of all religions. It is located at Tankapani Road.

A family-friendly botanical garden, Ekamra Kanan is located at Jayadev Vihar in Bhubaneswar. It is ideally positioned to separate the Bhubaneswar city from the Chandaka Reserve Forest.

Chilika is known for its Chilika lake—the salt-water lagoon situated at the mouth of the river Daya, meeting the Bay of Bengal. Visitors from all over the country flock to the lake to witness the treasure of aquatic & avian life that is part of the ecosystem.
