Orchha

Located on the banks of Betwa River, this fort complex was built in stages by different Bundela Rajput rulers, with its earliest construction taking place in the early 16th century initiated by King Rudra Pratap Singh.

Built during the reign of Vir Singh Deo, a Bundela Rajput chief, this structure at the Orchha Fort Complex was the summer retreat of the rulers of Orchha kingdom because of its ingenious Persian-designed cooling system.

The Ram Raja Mandir in Orchha, India, is the only temple where Lord Rama is revered as a king. With a blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, it holds cultural and spiritual significance, offering a serene experience for visitors.

Built by Bundela chieftain Raja Bir Singh Deo in 1662 AD, this temple is dedicated to the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi. It was further expanded by Raja Prithvi Singh in 1743 AD. The temple is renowned for its stunning, intricately crafted paintings, which enhance its beauty.

Located at the banks of Betwa River near Kanchan Ghat, these cenotaphs were built in the memory of the Bundela Maharajas and the other royal members of their dynasty.
