Dhaka

The National Museum was established in 1913 as the Dhaka Museum and was later renamed the Bangladesh National Museum in 1971 after the country gained independence from Pakistan. Some of the museum's notable exhibits include the Shiva statue from the Pala dynasty, a collection of folk art and crafts, and a replica of the royal throne of the Bengal Nawabs.

The construction of Hatirjheel began in 2007 and was completed in 2013. The lake was created by connecting several canals and water bodies in the city. The Armenian Church, also known as the Armenian Apostolic Church of the Holy Resurrection, is a historic church located in the Armanitola area of Old Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Church was built in 1781 by Armenian merchants who had settled in Dhaka. It is one of the oldest churches in Bangladesh.

The construction of the mosque began in 1960 and was completed in 1968. The mosque was designed by the Pakistani architect, T Abdul Hussain Thariani. The mosque is modelled after the Kaaba in Mecca and is one of the largest mosques in South Asia. The mosque can accommodate up to 40,000 worshippers at a time, making it one of the largest mosques in the world.

Central Shaheed Minar is a national monument located in Dhaka. The monument was built in memory of the martyrs of the language movement of 1952, which was a pivotal moment in the country's history. The language movement was a protest against the Pakistani government's decision to make Urdu the only official language in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). On February 21, 1952, students and activists organized a peaceful demonstration in Dhaka, demanding that Bangla be given equal status as a national language. The police opened fire on the demonstrators, killing several people, and sparking further protests and unrest.

The mosque's name is derived from its stunning decoration of star-shaped motifs on its walls, ceilings, and domes, which are made with tiny pieces of tiles. The mosque was originally built as a small, single-domed structure by Mirza Ghulam Pir, a local landlord. Later in the early 20th century, the mosque was renovated and expanded by a wealthy merchant named Ali Jan Bepari, who added more domes and embellished the mosque's interior and exterior with colourful star-shaped designs.

The Liberation War Museum is a museum in Dhaka, Bangladesh, dedicated to the Bangladesh Liberation War, which took place in 1971. The museum was established in 1996 and is located in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, near the Bangladesh Parliament building. The museum contains various exhibits and displays related to the Liberation War, including photographs, documents, and artefacts such as weapons and uniforms used by the Mukti Bahini (Bangladesh Liberation Forces)

Ahsan Manzil is a historical palace located in the old part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was built during the colonial era in the late 19th century by the Nawab of Dhaka and was later used as the official residence of the British Governor of East Bengal and Assam. Today, Ahsan Manzil serves as a museum and tourist attraction, showcasing the cultural and historical heritage of the city and the country.

Lalbagh Fort is an incomplete 17th-century Mughal fort complex located in the old part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was built in 1678 AD by Prince Muhammad Azam, the third son of Emperor Aurangzeb, and served as a fortified residence for the prince during his campaigns in Bengal. However, the construction was halted due to the sudden death of the prince's mother, and the fort was left unfinished.
