One of the most important mosques in Chitradurga is Jamia Masjid, sometimes spelt Jama Masjid and Sultan-e-Jama Masjid. There are 13 rows within, with space for up to 50 worshippers in each.

In the Chitradurga region, one of the most visited landmarks is Chitradurga Fort or Chitaldoorg as the British named it. The Chalukyas, Hoysalas, Nayakas, and Rashtrakutas, four of the reigning dynasties at the time, constructed the fort in the 17th and 18th centuries. There is now an upper and lower fort in the temple.
