An erstwhile home to the Nawabs of Oudh, Lucknow is dotted with structures from the British Raj-era, lively bazaars, grand monuments and parks, and of-course eateries selling mouth-watering kebabs.

Built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in 1786-91, the Bara Imambara is rightfully considered as one of the architectural wonders belonging to that era.
