Uperkot Fort
Ancient fort with a stunning design
The Uperkot Fort in Junagarh is an excellent example of a historical structure dating back to the mediaeval period. About 2300 years have passed since this fort was first constructed. Some sections of the fort's walls are twenty metres high. An ancient moat reportedly measured 300 feet in depth and surrounded the fortress. It was originally reported that crocodiles made their home in this moat that was built to keep the fort safe.

Jatashankar Mahadev Temple
Peaceful place of worship
Hindu worshippers can visit the Jatashankar Mahadev Temple in Junagadh, Gujarat, which is located on the backside of Mountain Girnar. God Shiva is worshipped there in the form of his shivalinga, which receives its ritual cleansing from a nearby stream.

A number of Jain temples can be found in Girnar, each with its own distinct design that still has commonalities with the others. Neminath Temple was constructed between 1128 and 1159. The temple contains a quadrangle courtyard, hallways, and numerous shrines, all of which are embellished with carved pillars depicting the Jain Tirthankars.

Khapara Kodia Caves
Caves with remarkable history
The monks' headquarters were not actual caves but rather stone chambers. The Khapara Kodia caverns are the oldest, dating back to the third or fourth century AD, and are also the most simplistic. They are the oldest monastic colony in the area and were carved out of live rock during the time of Emperor Ashoka.

Historical tourist attraction
Western India is home to 14 granite slabs with inscriptions of Ashoka's edicts, dating back to 250 B.C.
