Bhiwandi

Bhiwandi is a place that probably won’t make it to the bucket list of top places to visit in India for most people. It is an industrial city in the Thane district of the state of Maharashtra. The city of Mumbai, quite close to it, would perhaps be of more interest to most people owing to its opulent nature. India, however, has a lot of stories to tell, more than you can imagine, and a lot of those tales involve these cities, which are smaller only by popularity and perhaps opulence. Part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Bhiwandi connects Mumbai to various parts of the country via the Mumbai-Agra highway. Considered a major trade center, Bhiwandi lies in the Konkon coastal lowland region. This region has some hills as well. Upholding its reputation as a major trade center and industrial region, Bhiwandi has some of the largest warehouses and godowns on the whole continent.
