Paonta Sahib

Gurudwara Shergah Sahib, also known as Gurudwara Shergah Sahib Paonta Sahib, is a prominent Sikh place of worship located in the town of Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh. According to historical accounts, Guru Gobind Singh fought a battle against the forces of Raja Fateh Shah of Garhwal at a location near Shergah. The battle took place on the banks of the Yamuna River, and Guru Gobind Singh displayed his valour and bravery during this encounter.

The Assan Barrage, also known as Assan Reservoir or Assan Lake, is a man-made barrage located on the Assan River near Dehradun in the state of Uttarakhand and is approximately 160 kilometres away from Paonta Sahib. Commonly spotted birds include Bar-headed Geese, Common Teal, Northern Pintail, Spot-billed Duck, Black-necked Stork, Black-headed Gull, and various species of Egrets, Herons, and Kingfishers.
