The perfect pilgrimage site
Ballal Dhipi is approximately 25 kilometres away from Krishnanagar and can be found close to Bamanpukur Bazar. The Archaeological Survey of India began conducting excavations at this site in the early 1980s and discovered a complex of one-of-a-kind buildings that occupied approximately 13,000 square metres of space. This edifice asserts that it is a component of the bigger Vikramsila Vihar even though it is constructed all around a hill called a "Dhipi" that is 9 metres in height. According to scholars, this Vihar (one of the sides of the stupa) may have been used as a place of pilgrimage and study until the eleventh century.

Next to NH-34 in the Nadia district of West Bengal is the Bethuadahari Wildlife Sanctuary (which is only at a distance of 22 kilometres north of Krishnanagar). Bengal foxes, common langurs, and jackals all make their homes in this protected area. There are also pythons and a variety of birds, including Indian cuckoos, parakeets, and others. There are a number of tree types and little crocodiles (gharials) in this area. This sanctuary was established in 1980 to safeguard the middle Gangetic alluvial zone's rich biodiversity; it covers an area of 67 hectares.

The importance of Palashi in a historical context simply cannot be emphasised. From Krishnanagar, it is around a fifty-minute car ride. This location played host to the epic Battle of Plassey on June 23rd, 1757. The armies of the last ruler of Bengal, Nawab Siraj Ud-Daula, fought against the British forces led by Lord Clive in this fight. Lord Clive was in charge of the British army. Following the conclusion of this struggle, the British established their control over all of India, including Bengal. In 1883, a monument stone was set up at this location to commemorate the triumph of the British.

Sri Chaitanya, a famous religious leader and reformer from the 15th century, was born in the city of Navadvipa. Navadvipa is also known as Sri Chaitanya. In addition, Sri Chaitanya is depicted in a golden form on one of the statues that can be found in the Nabadwip temple. It is common knowledge that Navadvipa holds a prominent position both as the epicentre of Vaishnav culture and as the headquarters of ISKCON.
