Zirakpur

About 14 kilometres from the picturesque city of Zirakpur, Mata Mansa Devi Temple is located. The shrine preserves Himalayan culture even in the current era, with rites and customs that are carried out in the same way as they were by the original occupants. Mata Mansa Devi Temple, found in North India, is a prominent expression of the old traditions followed by the "Shakti" type of respect. This temple is perfectly situated among the low-lying hillocks of the Shivalik Ranges.

The holy site of Gurudwara Shri Baoli Sahib can be found in the tranquil village of Dhakoli, which is part of the larger city of Zirakpur. Guru Gobind Singh, the famous Sikh saint, is said to have slept in this area after the successful Battle of Bhagani. While travelling to Anandpur Sahib, the holy man stopped by Dhakoli Village. The rural area was created by Guru Hargobind Singhji, hence many of the original residents were devout Sikhs. Upon hearing that the revered Guruji will be in town, followers flocked to the area to get his blessings. Interestingly, Guru Sahib also worked a miracle to bring clean water to the area, which had been lacking for a long time.

A holy Hindu temple, Vishwakarma Temple can be found on Mangvayin Road in the upscale Mandi neighbourhood. The temple is located around one kilometre from the centre of Zirakpur. Each day, many Hindu worshipers from all over the country make the pilgrimage to this temple, which is located in the Lohgarh district of town. This temple is devoted to the Hindu god Vishwakarma, and its priests are committed to teaching their faith's tenets to as many believers as possible.

About 7 kilometres from Zirakpur, the lovely Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park is nestled. This zoo, which opened in April 1977, is home to several stunning specimens of amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and avian species. More than 400 bird species, over 20 reptile species, and over 360 animal species await visitors at Mahendra Chaudhary Zoological Park.

About 25 kilometres from Zirakpur, a satellite city, you'll find Nepali Reserve Forest. A stunning variety of native flora and fauna thrives in this protected area of the 3,245-hectare forest that surrounds the reserve. The Nepali Reserve Forest is between two ideal settings, small hills, and a vast expanse of undeveloped land. This wildlife preserve is only accessible to those who have obtained permission from the Deputy Conservator of Forest in the area.

In a quiet Hindu sanctuary, around 15 kilometres from Zirakpur, Bhima Devi Temple is located. Legends about this temple's past stretch all the way back to the 10th century A.D. Bhima Devi Temple is located in a region known as Panchkula, as shown by inscriptions on Handi stones discovered in 1878 thanks to the efforts of archaeologist Alexander Cunningham. The three stone plinths are the most notable relic of the ancient temple complex, which is said to have included numerous fascinating architectural and sculptural wonders.

It's around 15 kilometres from Zirakpur City proper to Topiary Park, a lovely natural area. This park was built in 1987 with the intention of providing high-quality recreational opportunities for kids in the neighbourhood. The native flora consists primarily of creeper and shrub species.
