Katra Vaishno Devi

Built around the Bahu Fort, Bagh e Bahu sits on top of a mountain that faces Tawai River and exudes a peaceful aura with its fountains, sprawling lawns, stone sculptures, pristine lake and a large aquarium.

Seated in the Trikuta Hills, the cave shrine of Vaishno Devi is believed to be a manifestation of Goddess Durga and is visited by thousands of devotees each year. There’s a popular belief that the Goddess herself beckons her devouts to visit her shrine.

Jhajjar Kotli is 15 km away from Katra and can be reached within 30 minutes. A crowd-puller, Jhajjar Kotli is a tranquil picnic place seated along the pebbled banks of river Jhajjar.

Sitting 10 kms away from Katra, the distance to Ardh Kuwari Cave can be covered within an hour. Legend has it that Goddess Vaishno Devi took rest in these caves for 8 months before making her way to the Bhavan.

Himkoti is 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Katra, sitting at a distance of 13 kms and makes for a beautiful getaway in the lap of the hills.
