The Global Vipassana Pagoda is a meditation dome hall located in the northwestern part of Mumbai. It is the world's largest stone dome built without supporting pillars and has an 8,000-seat capacity. Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), in partnership with ABP Majha, has even declared it as "One of Seven Wonders of Maharashtra." This dome is known for preserving the teachings of Gautama Buddha in their purest form.

The Global Vipassana Pagoda was built as a tribute to Sayagi U Ba Khin to honor his efforts in reviving and spreading Vipassana meditation worldwide. The project was initiated in 1997. However, construction mainly began in 2000 and was completed in 2008. Its design is inspired by Myanmar's Shwedagon Pagoda, symbolizing gratitude to Myanmar for preserving Vipassana in its purest form after it was lost in India.
