Visitors enter through grand silver doors leading to a serene courtyard where the saint�s marble and gold-plated tomb is located. The tomb is surrounded by a silver railing and a marble screen. The site is adorned with flowers, sweets, and incense, creating a deeply spiritual experience.

The timings for summers are 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. and for winters are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The tomb area is closed for a short span of time around 3 p.m., for daily cleaning.
Don’t forget to check out the other white marble buildings in the two courtyards.

About Ajmer Sharif Dargah History

The followers of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, including Mughal King Humayun, built this dargah after his death in 1236 AD, and it became a popular pilgrimage site. Sultan Ghiyasuddin Khilji of Malwa built the main tomb in the shrine in the 15th century. Later, Mughal emperors like Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzeb expanded and beautified the dargah by featuring it with gates, mosques, and courtyards.
