Established in the year 1451 by the Dalmatian community, this confraternity house was a cultural centre and today it is home to a great assortment of paintings by Carpaccio- a renowned artist who was known for painting religious and iconic personalities against the backdrop of Venetian architecture.

Although Carpaccio’s work is displayed in a small wooden-panelled room but the paintings communicate a lot to the visitor. Don’t miss the beam of light painting that beautifully represents Saint Augustine’s vision of St Jerome. The colours and the interpretations used by Carpaccio in his paintings is truly commendable and worth a visit.
