Popularly known as La Salute, this church is one of the most iconic landmarks situated in Grand Canal. Impeccably designed by Baldassare Longhena, the church’s exterior is bedecked with 125 statues contrary to the simple interiors of the building.

Standing tall amidst the Grand Canal and the Bacino di San Marco, this Baroque church boasts of a picturesque location. This octagonal structure has two domes and stunning bell towers at the back. As you step inside the church, you would see that the décor is in white and grey colour scheme. The main statue is that of the Byzantine icon (depicting Madonna of Health) which is placed right bove the main altar.

After visiting the church, you must go to the Sacrestia Maggiore (which charges a nominal fee of €2) that houses artworks by Titian and Tintoretto.

  • Opening Closing Time 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 5:30 pm
