Also known as Chiesa di San Pantaleone Martire, this parish church is dedicated to Saint Pantaleon and is situated on Campo San Pantalon. Famous for its Baroque ceiling painting which beautifully illustrates ‘The Martyrdom and Apotheosis of St Pantalon’. Painted on a canvas by Antonio Fumiani between 16th and 17th century, many visitors come today to look at the magnificence of this painting.

It took 24 years to complete the entire painting. No wonder the celling makes up for a 3D view as the art has been executed so brilliantly that it appears real when seen from the ground. Apart from the ceiling painting, other works including, ‘Coronation of the Virgin’ and the ‘St. Pantalon Healing a Boy’ can also be seen here.
