Built in the year 1076 to honour the holy Basso, the Ateneo di San Basso is the oldest church in Venice. The church has been beautifully styled by famous architect Balsassarre Longhena. However, in 1806, this church was robbed of its priceless artefacts and decorations. Later it was sold privately to a merchant. In 1953, the church was inaugurated by Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli.

Today, the place is also hosts to many classical music shows, listening to the mesmerising Vivaldi and Mozart. Located at the Saint Mark’s square, the concert hall runs many cultural shows and you can check the various show timings along with their prices are run by them on their website.
